Supporting Smithills School with GATSBY â€‹

The Gatsby Bench Marks are a framework of 8 guidelines that define the best careers provision in schools.

We would welcome support to deliver our CAREERS programme to provide the best possible support and source of inspiration for students across all our year groups, whilst also demonstrating sustained achievement of the Gatsby benchmarks

Can you help?

  • Employers who can support us to meet benchmarks 2 to benchmark 6.

Work Experience :  If you are in a position to offer any of our Year 10 students an opportunity to take part in a         week of work experience please contact the school by telephone on 01204 842382 or                                           email a.bennett@smithillsschool.net

  • FE/HE/Training providers support with benchmark 7 (linking with other benchmarks e.g. 2/3/4).

Support request for CEIAG Conferences 2021-22

Each year group takes part in an annual CEIAG conference. All students are required to engage with an employer in every year they are at school. We also build in opportunities along the way to work with FE, HE, training providers and apprenticeship providers.

Our Conference are all themed to help develop increasing knowledge and understanding to support students with each stage of their career journey.
